DiabetesConnect was started out of frustration at the lack of diabetes resources aimed at the developing world. It started out as a hobby but as time has passed I have come to realise that there is a huge lack of awareness, support and resources for people with diabetes in the developing world.

I also strongly believe where you live or what you earn should not determine the Diabetes care you get! While the main aim of Diabetes care is blood glucose control, it is only one aspect of diabetes management.

There are so many Apps/resources out there which helps people improve their blood glucose control. But there is no single App/resource where all aspects of Diabetes care is brought in to one place. Almost all the apps on the market are purely focused on 1-2 aspects of your diabetes care.

Diabetes is so much more than just blood glucose control. Managing other aspects of your diabetes care helps prevent/delay diabetes complications.

In order to deliver better diabetes care, doctors need to be able to see all your past medical records in one place. Because diabetes care is all about trends.
